The line between burlesque and drag costumes is so small that at this point it makes more sense to adress both artist groups. Designer Garo Sparo from New York takes every challenge – as long as it is extraordinary and full of glamour. Fashionistas and celebrities like Daphne Guiness, Claire Danes, Peaches, Hedda Lettuce, Pam Ann and the legendary Amanda Lepore belong to his customer group as well as shooting stars and icons like Tali De’mar, Gia Nova, Trixie & the Money, Minnie Tonka and Miss Exotic World 2008 Annie Pontani.

The variety of his creations is limitless and makes the heart of every performer beat a little faster. I myself would probably kill for showing off a piece of his artwork on stage. Currently, he supports a wonderful artist from the 6th season of the successful casting show Ru Paul’s Drag Race, Miss Fame. A concept that unfortunately hasn’t made it to Germany yet, because the minds of our TV production companies and directories are just still too limited. Designers like Garo perfectly prove that a taste of craziness has to be part of every Va-Va-Voom outfit.
