Canada is kind of the country of lumberjack shirts – at least, that’s what is said about it. Nevertheless, designer Elise Truong belongs to those allround talents, that go against these chlichés. Since 2007 the Canadian born enchants international fashion fans and the burlesque scene in Edmonton with her extraordinary alternative fashion. Her love for colorful corsets paved her way into the burlesque scene and made her found the label Sweet Carousel Corsetry. Meanwhile, the little one woman show grew bigger and now resides in a historic store house with various interesting alternative shopping options of diverse designers. What counts is the creative environment and the passion for the detail, the high quality manufacturing and the diversity of corset designs and patterns.
