I think nothing is more exciting than presenting a brand new burlesque costume on stage – well, maybe except for accompanying it with many try-ons while it is being created. Every needle that gets caught in your flesh while taking of your dress-to-be is a sting worth taking. Zoë from Melbourne is probably one of the most interesting burlesque costume designers which I have discovered so far. Her creations are rich in details and high in quality. In her early childood already, she let her little dolls feel her creativity on their plastic skin and just some years later, her journey to burlesque stages was destined. Shortly after having finished school, she made her first experience in the costume design for the musical „The Producer“ in London. Her passion for colorful fabric, deathers, crystals and sequins was now deeply enrooted. Studies at the National Institute of Dramatic Art and a job at the V&A in London followed and during her education, she even enhanced her skills in costum and corset design.

In the year of 2012, Zoë Gymer-Waldron founded the label Zoë Felice, which focusses on burlesque, pin-up, dancing and costume design. No matter if you want to shine in your super hero costume or just blow away your audience on a burlesque stage, Zoë Felice will find a seductive solution for a magical appearence. Especially in the international burlesque scene, some famous starlets equipped themselves with costumes from Melbourne and I am more than sure – none of them regret it. Of course, apart from her burlesque costumes, Zoë also creates hat pieces and fascinators, helps with style advice or with the search for your inner hidden bombshell.

Of course, you’ll find Zoë Felice in all social networks like INSTAGRAMFACEBOOK or on her own website, which might have gotten a little long in the tooth 😉 But who has time for designing a website when you have to glue countless crystals on beautiful corsets, garter belts and bras 🙂
