It is often said that fashion is cyclical in nature; that the trends of the past eventually resurface in the future. There is perhaps no better example of this than the recent return to the retro and burlesque styles which were so very popular during the 1920s and 1930s. In fact, such trends can be seen in a variety of markets. From the high-class styles of celebrities to ensembles designed to be worn around the home and office, fashion has come to once again embrace such classy appearances. What are a few examples to be seen?

The Wonder Bra
This clever device was extremely popular during the 1950s and 1960s. It has once again emerged within the world of fashion through the help of such celebrities as Dita Von Teese. Echoing a sultry and yet classical appeal, this accessory is able to provide a woman with a bit of a sensual edge without showing off too much skin.

Cloche Hats
These hats were often seen during the 1920s; a reflection of the progressive attitude of women during this magical era. So, it should come as no great surprise that such accessories have now come full circle and are quite popular in these modern times. They are particularly appealing because their styles can range from the understated to the outlandish. This allows them to suit a variety of fashion needs while coordinating with an existing ensemble. For those who are looking to punctuate what would otherwise be a standard evening gown or cocktail dress, the cloche hat should never be overlooked.

Flapper Dresses
These flowing dresses would generally fall to just above the ankles although more burlesque variants may very well flirt with the knees or higher. One of the best aspects of the flapper dress is that it is extremely comfortable to wear. While some may enjoy form-fitting spandex, these garments are an ideal departure for the women who desires to leave much to the imagination. Materials such as cotton, polyester and silk are quite common and nearly every colour imaginable is offered. Such dresses are just as perfect for a night out on the town as they are for a casual meeting with friends after a long work week.

Burlesque is Back
Not only are burlesque parties becoming extremely popular, but the garments themselves have witnessed a massive comeback. Corsets, high skirts and garter belts are now commonly worn by those who wish to accentuate their femininity with a bit of class. Still, these garments are quite tasteful while offering just enough sex appeal. When we add in a pair of leather high heels, such choices are perfect for both on and off of the runway.

Thankfully, it has never been easier to obtain voucher codes through sites such as couporando.co.uk. For those who wish to make a splash in today’s world of fashion, the burlesque look is indeed an option worth considering. Retro is now modern and many predict this trend to continue into the future.
